This petite canister is a unique piece of art, painstakingly handcrafted from a reclaimed Maple log. The Norway Maple, which once stood proudly in my backyard, was unfortunately felled by a formidable storm. However, this allowed me to breathe new life into it, and the natural spalting patterns bestowed upon it by nature add a unique touch. My once backyard tree has been beautifully transformed into this elegant canister.
The versatility of this piece allows it to serve as a tea caddy (Chazutsu), a spice canister, or even a box for small trinkets - all depending on your preference. Alternatively, you can appreciate it as a standalone art piece to embellish your living room shelf.
